Porter’s Pub was created as an “English” style restaurant and bar because of the rolling hills and creeks that dominate the golf course property. The design was created to enhance the elements of classic public houses found in England; wood and tiled floors, tin ceilings, massive bars, unique light fixtures, tap handles, warm colors and comfortable seating. Porter’s energetic, casual and relaxed atmosphere also has very upscale and stylish finishes. All the space planning and design are meant to reflect the “English” theme, enhance the golf course experience, and bring the Elgin community and surrounding neighborhoods a place they can enjoy and visit year-round.
